Profile
Giah De los Reyes is an interdisciplinary artist and community worker based in the Philippines. Her practice explores the relationships between plants, people, and places, working across textiles, installations, photography, and video. Giah often integrates natural dyes and found materials that carry stories of place and survival.
In 2020, she founded Katawhayan PH, a project that bridges natural dyeing processes on local textiles with her broader artistic inquiries into social and environmental narratives. Her socially engaged projects have involved working with incarcerated women in dormitory jails, rural children on secluded islands, and local fishing communities in the Visayas region. She has a background in Architecture and Sociology.
