Abdelhamid Belahmidi is a self-taught artist based in Morocco. He uses conceptual photography, video art, and performance to express his lived experiences. His work focuses on the main topic of modern times: labour. In his series “"Where is the Sea?", "Copy Machine", and "What is this world" (installation), he addresses workplace wellness and the issue of burnout and also raises questions about the future of day jobs—collecting and narrating feelings toward a system that prioritizes consumerist ideals over individuality.
In 2021, he co-founded the collective «Kan3awd,» which tells visual stories through photography and filmmaking. The collective addresses themes relevant to post-modern society and the challenges faced by their generation.
