Aban Salehi is an Iranian contemporary visual artist whose work explores the body and sexuality. Drawing on their experiences of living in Iran, Salehi challenges conventional definitions of the body and society’s perception of it as an “unlawful ground.” They hold a BFA in Sculpture from the University of Tehran and use sculpture to imagine new forms of embodiment and raise questions about how bodies are understood.
